early success Mashantucket Pequot
Bill's involvement in gaming and hospitality began with over a decade of work on Foxwoods Resort Casino, starting in 1992 and 'living it' until 2002 with JCJ. very little in the left aerial does not bear some form of Bill's signature for the work completed, including involvement in planning with New England Design and getting things right with multiple operations teams and the Nation, as well as many many others. it was quite a ride.
while an incredible period of design/documentation/responsibility and promise, it stands today as a testament to what can be accomplished - and how to do it.
the foundation for many projects which followed - only a few represented here.

project growth Seneca Nation
while completing Foxwoods, Bill served multiple roles on other projects. sometimes a planner, support architect, partner-in-charge or, just 'the field guy'. the Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel + Seneca Allegany Casino Hotel became like a second life - literally living 'on site' for both projects, from 2000 until 2008, with facilities opening in 80 days and $80 million expended, to fulfilling the master plans in under three years and $750 million complete. all while also completing new interior fit-ups for the Salamanca and Irving Casinos, and work for other clients - busy times

expanding Quapaw Nation
while the JCJ practice grew, many great projects were completed - but several rise to the top as the strong + successful examples. the Quapaw Nation emerged into destination gaming in northeast Oklahoma with Downstream Resort Casino, starting as a hundred day exercise in mind-bending design and execution...
another 'live on site' experiment, finalized with great pride, and expanded over time to what it is today. a testament to a lot of hard work. it also has not aged a day and looks fantastic. it is a beacon to accomplishment, process, and commitment

recent Pueblo of Tesuque
while Bill always performed services quite independently of JCJ, often called the 'road warrior' when he was 'in house', and as a heavily client focused individual, it is ultimately a Team effort. recent work took Bill to Santa Fe to support the Pueblo of Tesuque in developing the new ground up Tesuque Casino, a replacement casino on the site of the old artists market. Bill handled the scope of master planning, programming, assisted a strong local architect 'Dekker Perrich Sabatini' with design development and documentation, and led the casino interiors, gaming layouts, and casino operations portions of the work, including developing staffing matrix's with the management team and coordinating gaming related ff+e and overall quality control
the daylight design format, which has luckily become more than a trend, is worth a visit for all owner/operators.
it is quite a spot, quite a vista of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, and functions entirely to it's intended purpose a small sports book was recently added. it is a beautiful setting, a great property... there is a bit of pride here.
